The Parish Council is the lowest tier of local government administration for the parish of South Warnborough and is under Hart District Council and Hampshire County Council. It is a different body to the South Warnborough Parochial Church Council, which is the body responsible for the village church of St Andrews.
The Parish Council has five elected Councillors who serve for a period of up to four years. The last election was in May 2018.
The business of the Parish Council is primarily decided at the meetings (link to Meetings) which are usually held on the first or second Monday of the month in January, March, May, July, September and November. Additional meetings are called when required. The meetings start at 7.30pm and are held in The Ridley Hall. A wide range of issues is discussed including consideration of current planning applications and members of the public are welcome to attend.
The Parish Council also organises the Parish Annual Meeting. This takes place between 1 March and 1 June and is an opportunity for all residents to meet to review the year and discuss current issues in the community. The minutes of the previous Parish Annual Meeting on Monday 22 May 2017 are available here.
The next Parish Council meeting will be an ordinary Parish Council meeting on Monday 9th July at 7.30pm in The Ridley Hall (the agenda will be available on Wednesday 4th July here).
